I painted this bold mural in my living room during the 2020 lockdown. It's a deep peacock blue background with metalic gold outlines.

Visual Instructional Design Course

This e-learning course was created for instructional designers to provide more in-depth learning on the proper use of visuals within instructional content. This covers basic design and color theory, accessibility issues, as well as graphic and video creation. This also provides free resources on suitable stock images to pull from. Learning Module Videos

This is an example (one of several) videos I created to support converting an in-person learning experience to virtual during the COVID pandemic. I helped convert many modules for a national client to train them on using their new electronic health record. I transformed many instructor-led deliverables (think powerpoint slides being presented by a facilitator) into dynamic videos for the virtual, self-paced environment. Due to proprietary content, I am not able to share the video publicly, but I would be able to provide a demonstration upon request.

Large Format Set/Backdrop Panels

These are three of a total of four 4'x8' canvas set panels that I hand painted. Here, they are being used as a backdrop for a "photo booth" where people can gather and take photos with their friends at an event. Each panel is unique and is meant to be versatile in that it could be flipped either direction and still look right.

Custom Folded Mailer

This is a custom die-cut folded mailer that was sent to 50,000 homes for the State of Kansas. This mailer also won a print industry award for the design.

Promotional Materials

Created promotional materials for Unified Government of Wyandotte County's wellness program.

Wooden Christmas Ornament

This project was to create a wooden Christmas ornament for a church ministry supporting orphanages in Kenya. The design was produced by laser cutting wood.

Vinyl Vehicle Wrap

This is full vinyl wrap on a cargo trailer used for the company's lawn equipment. This wrap incorporates custom hand-drawn illustrations as well as photographic textures.

This was hand-painted on a garage wall for a client.

Trade Show

I created large format trade show displays based on custom hand-drawn characters and fonts I created. I also managed the process of designing and developing the original character into a custom mascot costume and a plush doll to give away at the trade show.

Healthy Smiles Logo

I created this logo for HyVee's Healthy Smiles employee wellness program. It was called Healthy Smiles because their store slogan was "a smile down every aisle."

CALA Logo

Logo created for the CALA program at Cerner.

Patterson Plush

This was a really fun project -- this lady (name omitted) was retiring from the Patterson Health Center and to commemorate the occasion, they wanted to create a plush of her. So I created this illustration of her standing out in front of the Health Center (which I also created the Patterson Health Center logo!) and they gave her this image in a frame along with the plush I designed based on this drawing.

Colored Pencil

This frog was created using colored pencils, and has won numerous awards at fine art competitions. One competition almost disqualified it because the judges didn't believe it was actually colored pencil! They thought it was an oil painting and I entered it in the wrong category. Nope! It's colored pencil.

This was created as a sales promotional booklet for LMH selling employee wellness programs to local businesses. I created the book and some of the illustrations.
